Hello all. I can't seem to make heads or tails of the nutrition program.
I goes like this: Protein/ 225g
Carbs/ 563 g
Fats/ 43 g
Total Calories/ 3497

I don't know what I should do next. How many meals should I be eating daily. If somebody could please just give me a clue on a sample meal plan. I think I have the jist of the excercise thinggy. HELP........

Yup Old habits are hars to break and motivation turns into new habits. Welcome to ft.
Get your protein from things like eggwhites, chicken breasts, turkey breasts, lean beef, and tuna.
Good clean carbs come from grain breads, dark green veggies, oatmeal, sweet potatoes and remember if you want to cut back on 30 lbs yo have to lose fatty tissue and gain some muscle(lean Mass).
Consume good fats from olive oil, salmon, flax seed oil.
Try and gradually cut out all white foods, and no convenience foods/processed.
Hope this helps.

you also want to break that up into 5 to 6 small meals daily. Check out the food list on here under the nutrition resources, it lists different foods and the amounts of fat, protein, calories by the amount you eat. There is also a daily nutritional tracker that really helped me out a lot when i first started. it allowed me to see what i was eating daily, what i needed improvement on and what i needed to cut down on. hope this helps and welcome to freetrainers! good luck

Hello! Read your profile. You're right...old habits don't go away without much kicking and screaming. I still find myself craving a twinkie now and then :o), and, after a great deal of deep breathing and mind tricks <smile>, find myself holding a piece of fruit instead. But when you want something badly enough, you will find the determination to replace old habits with new ones. Good luck. Welcome to FT and Enjoy!
