Can anyone recommend a supplement for safeguarding against arthritis and protecting the joints that is suitable for vegetarians?
So, cod liver oil is out, but what about evening primrose oil? any others?
Cheers!
Katie

All of you EFA's are good for this purpose, also, check out glucosamine sulfate alone and not made with the chondroiton, very effective and backed by many scientific studies. They do sell it in veg. capsules.

www.vitaminworld.com has a great one called "Joint Maintenance" that i've used in the past and worked really great!

I was wondering about something for the joints also. I am working very hard, especially for a 55 year old new to all of this, and I am "feeling it" in my knees. It is not painful, it is just that I can tell I have been working out. So do you think the Joint Maintenance would be a good choice for that?

Thanks, James (my trainer) is really putting me through my paces!!! He said I keep surpising him in the things I CAN do!!! I told him I think I am strictly running on adrenaline when I am at the gym. He told me to start using the elliptical for "at least" 15 minutes and build up to 30. My first day I did 25 and could have done 30 except that I was sweating so bad and did not have a towel!!!
