Quoting from bb1fit:

Tuna is like bologna of the ocean!! Eat only on a must need basis.

=============

This reminds me of a study a friend told me he read about a year ago. It apparently said that the tuna ingest and retain so much crap from the ocean that people should not eat it more than once or twice a week. Has anybody else heard this?

ive heard about high mercury levels in tuna...

re. the tuna shake, anything that speeds up the tuna eating (/drinking?) experience could be worth considering...
still, yuck.

Got to say, Sandy made me some tuna patties yesterday that were actually pretty good! Can of tuna, 2 eggwhites, chopped onion, some seasoning, mold into patties (3) and grill. Were actually pretty tasty(if tuna can be tasty!) Man, I must love bodybuilding to even suggest tuna tasted good in any way!! LOL.....

When I hear "tuna shake", I think of the old Saturday Night Live parody with Dan Aykroyd and Larraine Newman for the RONCO Bass-a-matic where he puts "... the bass - that's the whole bass..." into a blender, whips it up, and Larraine drinks it! "Say, <wiping her milk moustache> that's really great bass!" What, maybe 20 years ago?...

I know - get back to the old farts forum...

I'm pretty sure I'm not going anywhere near that . . .

I did 1 tbsp. mayo, 2 tbsp. salsa, some garlic powder, some chili pepper, can of tuna and fat free shredded cheese last night and it was GREAT!!

HAHA!!!!! geez...
i've tried it, its like ok, goes in like a shake but still while u drinking it u realize ur drinking FISH!!! and this fact kindo makes the drink come up back up. lol

some ppl say tuna stinks!! but it doesnt accually.
BUT it u put it in a mixer/blender the last thing i would recommend is smelling it!!! trust me all ur meal will start coming back up.

i think the only way is 2 add something that will cover the smell. but still U R DRINKING FISH!!!!!
hehe thats y i've never took another chance... :))

g.luck :)

ha!!
maybe freetrainers.com should open up bar where they will serve all kindo fishy-krinks...

its like (waitress):"hey i would stringly recommend on drinking tuna tonight". and ppl would be able to put money on how long would u be staying in the toilet next morning.
i bet the toilet sit will become ur best freind as soon as u'll start drinking fish with milk(trainers.com could also post a link to all kindo toilet sits, maybe even to start a compatition where the goal will be design the best sit wich u can spend 24 hour on...lol!!). yeah, then u'll be able to tell ur freinds like "hey i drunk lobsters, and had a tuna shot yesterday!!!".
lol!!

g.luck :))

I was a bartender when I was 18. You just can't drink until 21 (at least in PA). Bartending school age limit... I dunno. I'd bet if you pay the tuition, they'll let you take the courses... you just might not be allowed to sample your handiwork in class...

sorry to resurrect this post 9actually, I am not sorry, it is worth a chuckle...
here is my latest tuna creation:

1 can tuna, drained
1 ear corn, steam 2 minutes in microwave and cut kernels off cob
1 spoonful red. fat mayo (Helmans = less than 2 g fat)
tsp dijon
1/2 a small onion, minced
dash of hot pepper sauce

Mix it all together and enjoy :)

About 25g protein and 25g carbs and maybe 3g fat...
