Where is everyone at when benching with Dumbells? Please include Flat, incline, and decline benching. I just like to know and give myself some motivation. You know if he can do it so can I. Include weight and height too.

I was thinking about this the other day as well. It's kinda like record breaking. Let's say the world record for running the mile is set at six minutes. Then it seems no-one can do it any better than six. Finally someone will come along and just smash it, let's say they do it in four minutes. Then all of the sudden tons of people can do it at four minutes. It's all about mind of matter. If someone else can do it, then you're like, so can I!
I know most people won't post what they lift on here because they think it is bragging are just not helpful. I can see their point, but I also see yours.
So here's mine:
I'm 5'7 weghing 170 pounds.
Max lift flat bench is 180. I usually do three sets repping about 110-120. Not too much I know, but I'm trying to loose fat rather than gain. Hope that helps.

I dont use dumbells for chest. I work with 145lbs-170lbs. flat, incline, and decline. I only use dumbells for flys. I found that barbell pressing doesnt equal out. Lets say someone can do 80 lb dumbells 10 reps. I've seen them not able to do 160 lb barbell 10 times. I t may just be me....but barbell is the way to go on the chest in my opinion.

Unfortunatly due to an impingement in my right shoulder my chest training has been very limited. Any form of barbell work leaves me in excrutiating pain for weeks. Currently I work up to 110lb dumbels for reps on flat bench, then work my way up to 360 on incline hammer presses. If anyone has had experience with shoulder problems before & knows any methods for getting back into barbell work I would greatly appreciate it, my gym only has up to 125lb dumbells & I am running out of room for plates on the hammer machine (LOL).

I like using dumbbells to mix it up a bit. When I feel like my bench workouts are either getting stale I'll use flatbench dumbbells as my first exercise on my bench day. Then I'll do some close grip flat bench. I also like to do DB incline after regular bench. Some days I'll open with decline barbell bench and try to go as heavy as I can with good form. Variety is good. So is consistency.
