If you are trying to attain a 6 pack, then rest is in order. You have to use heavy resistance, like any other muscle, and give good rest and good nutrition. I would do them no more than 3 times per week, prefferably twice. Hit them hard and with the same intensity you would any other muscle. 10-15 minutes is all you need. You don't have to do 50 exercises. Make your diet count. This is the deciding factor in abs. Without proper diet, the muscle you build under the fat will just push the fat out more and make you look bigger. Good luck to you.
