i just signed up today and i am totally looking forward to getting started on a real program for once. does anyone have any suggestion for losing 20 pounds in 30 days??

20 lbs in 30 days? I suppose it may be feasible to lose that much weight in 30 days depending on the individual...but in a healthy fashion? I'm simply uncertain...
Try to clean up your diet as much as possible by eating clean carbs like whole grains, brown rice etc..Protein from turkey, chicken, tuna etc...Increase your cardio and drop your fat intake...Include only healthy fats like flaxseed and olive oil..Make certain you're drinking plenty of water.
Fairly steady exercise program should help as well....

Yes, it can be done...but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have done it before. I say this because if you lose weight too fast, you will eventually gain it all back. Have a goal in mind that is more reasonable...2-3 pounds per week should be fine. Besides, you didn't gain weight over a 30-day period so why try to lose it that quickly?

Tips for quick weight loss(in general)
* Drink a lot of water(1-2liter)
* Do cardio(3 times a week for 40 min, at 70 % of max HR)
* Do weights(burns cal's also)
* Eat clean(less fat, less sugar etc.)
* Eat more frequent(4-5 times a day small meals)

Well it took me 3 months to lose 26lbs, if you can do that in 30 days then Im jealous ! :P

I agree with rpacheco, and from experience to lose weight that fast, it has always came back as fast as it went. Now that I have said that let me welcome you to FT and I hope you do get to all goals but in a healthy fashion.
