What do you think about bread? I eat whole wheat bread now, which I would never touch before I am currently gaining so i have a bit more food...i try not to eat more than 1 slice a day, i have a choice to have 1 slice for breakfast everyother day or I can have 1 slice once in awhile for dinner in oppose to a morning slice...sometimes I get scared to eat it because I'm afraid of how it will effect me...

One thing about "whole wheat bread", or any other fancy whole grain breads out there in the supermarket. Look at the ingredient list. Make sure the first ingredient is not encriched wheat flour or something to that extent. What that means is they took the good quality out to make the bread, then "enriched" it with synthetic crap such as the thiamine, niacin, reduced iron, etc. By law this allowed.

I've been wondering about bread too. I don't see much about it here. Does anyone include bread in their diet? I haven't eaten bread without feeling guilty for years. Recently we switched to Ezekiel bread as we are avoiding wheat products, but even that I don't eat much. I'd like to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks.

I personally dont' even bother with bread. I stick with tons of veggies and plain oats for my carb sources.

Ooooooh I eat bread AND way too much actually.......
I don't eat pasta, rice, potatoes, noddles or whatever but I surely cannot give up my bread!
I love it too much but the darker the better. With cereals, rye, herbs etc
I make my own bread with plenty of egg whites and I even sometimes put some protein powder in!

I don't have any problems keeping my weight and still eating bread (I even continue eating bread when I'm on a competition diet) but one problem is that I tend to eat too much bread in one time so my tummy get all bloated..........

I eat a decent amount of bread, but since I bake my own, I know what goes into it.

For those of you that make your own bread, do you use a bread machine? Do you have recipes? I'd love to try this!

I love tuna melts, (no-fat cheese) on whole grain bread! I have a few per week, especially when I need quick meal post workout. If you want to reduce the amount of bread you're eating, get the bakery to slice it thinner, or cut it thinner at home yourself.
