I tried the flax seed oil refrigerated. I can only say I will not have it again.. Any suggestions on how to get this oil down? Can I use the flaxseed oil gelcaps? Will get the same results? Your thoughts? Thanks

YES I have a suggestion, We went to the healthfood store last weekend and I bought flax seeds and I put them in my salads, Little crunchie and very tasty. I hate any oil and tend to stay away from any oil, but I know that I have to have it. I even added them to a new muffin recipe I just came up with. Like have little nuts in them, very good.

I mix flax seeds in with my oatmeal in the morning. You don't even notice that they're there.

I have been having brown rice, soaked overnight in milk, mix with protein powder, a banana sliced, and 2 tbsp. flaxseed for breakfast. Pre training. Tastes great, nutty, and wonderful workout energy with the complex carbs, simple carbs, fats, and needed aminos from the protein. I found this recipe on the internet, and it is great! (If not on a diet)

I use flax seeds a lot, not really for the oil ('m sure it takes a lot of those little seeds to = a tablespoon o/ pure oil) but because I like them.

BB, just curious about the flax; I take 15 grams fish oil every day which equals out to a little over three grams omega 3s - does fish oil provide the same or close to the same benefits as flax?

Maybe the flaxseed oil you tried was rancid? I add the oil to shakes - makes them creamier, and I sue it as salad dressing with some fresh garlic and salt/pepper. I think it has a mild, nutty flavor.
Try Udo's choice - it is a blend of oils that has the 'perfect' blend of omega 3, 6 etc. It is good in shakes and on salad, also.

The flax oil has to be refrigerated constantly so if it had a few hours in a hot truck on the way to the store it could have gotten funky. The good brands will be delivered in a refrigerated truck and taken straight to the fridge at the store.
