I'm just starting a weight training program, and I'm not sure how much weight to use. I want to lose weight, and tone so I know I'm supposed to do many reps with a low weight, but at what weight do I start. I'm a women in her late twenties, if that help, TIA
Hi Hendershot and welcome to free trainers.
Weight levels vary for everyone. I suggest a program from this site, and you will see some terrific gains. It will give you the exercises and reps in the sets and you decide on what weight you are capable of handling. Always start with a weight which will allow you to do the movement with perfect form and once you have the form then you can start to increase the weights.
Hope this helps and please fill out your profile so we can help you more.
