Hello,
I have been working out seriously for 4 weeks now. I am using the workout 4 day a week program with chest, should, and ab blaster provided on this site.
HERE is my problem... EVERY TIME AND I MEAN EVERY time I work out my chest I DONT feel a thing. My biceps GIVE OUT way before my chest feels a thing. I have done almost ever exercise I can find for chests and all use other muscle groups that tire WAY before I feel my chest burn. I can do butterflies and that works my chest. But Bench, Incline, dumbells... all those my biceps give out... Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

4 weeks? How about 4 months - it takes some time for results. You will develop the supporting muscles - biceps, triceps - as well as your chest. Also, watch your form, oddly you may be lifting to much weight and losing form and not hitting your chest. And if presses are depending on your biceps, I suspect your form - it usually hits the triceps.

That's great advise. I recall when I first started working out, I didn't notice any changes until month 3. Stick with it, be patient and focus on form rather than how much weight you put up.

Personally I would recommend puting some emphisis on your back trainig as it will decrease the chance for injury & help to alieviate the problem with your pressing. You see during the negative phase of the bench the lats & biceps must contract to slow the decent & during the positive phase they must contract to stabilize the joints. If bench pressing is your goal then it would probably be best to also focus on increasing strength in your rowing. In addition the increase in strength & work capacity will also increase your ability to build muscle, have a great day!

only slightly....it will initially if you're very out of shake and can't do even 15-20 push ups....however beyond doing 3-4 sets of it at max reps for u at 15-20 is just going to build endurance...you'll will need to keep increasing resistance to make gains with this exercise....whether raising feet or wearing a weighted west or using bands ....

Retaliator127,its sounds to me that your delts and triceps are taking all the weight, not letting your chest get any pump,i would try decline Bench press, decline dumbbell flys, dips,Barbell pullovers, choose two exercises of more,it sounds like your biceps are weak and need some more work.:dumbbell:

If his triceps are doing too much work, then decline and dips wouldn't be the best selections.
Also, most people either have that problem with deltoids OR triceps. Seeing as they help at two different leverage points.
And what are you guys talking about using biceps in chest exercises. Did I missread something?
