Hi, I'm just wondering if I hard boiled my eggs, would it decrease their nutrition value? Because when I look up hard boiled egg in the USDA food search, it says only 1.1g of proteins are left in the egg, as suppose to 3.5g of proteins in regular Egg White. Thanks!

I don't know how that could be. If you fry them under the heat it takes to get them done, is this not as hot as boiling them? I eat hard boiled all the time. They are fine.

I just made 12 of them..... AND they will be eaten during the day. A great snack and great proteins (the protein from cooked eggs is actually better absorbed by the body than eating the eggs raw..).

Just a question on eating hard boiled eggs. Do you eat the white and leave the yolk - or do you eat the whole thing? A guy I know always peels off the white and leaves the yolk saying that the yolk is full of crap and not good for you. Just wondered what everyone else thought and if this guy is the one full of crap :)

t-babe, really depends on your diet. I may eat 6 hardboiled eggs for example, but only eat 2 yolks. But that is on a gain diet. On a leaning diet, I would not eat any. Yolks are not all full of crap, but they do have fat/cholesterol, and should be avoided usually on a fat burning diet.

i don't understand how there could be less protein-why should there be. it isn't water, it doesn't evaporate-and its vitamins that get destroyed once cooked-but proteins? i don't think so....please correct me if i'm wrong
