I am in need of a personal trainer in the Long Island area. I figured I'd come here and ask since my searches online haven't turned up anything really. I had the greatest trainer 3 years ago, but he moved. The trainers after him never seemed to work as well. I need a trainer I have something in common with and not just someone that will come over, tell me what to do, take their money and leave. Can anyone here help me out? Point me in the right direction to a website maybe? I'm getting really desperate (and not any healthier) and need to find someone ASAP. Thank you very much to those that reply.

You can get all the help you need on here. We all have the same things in common when it comes to training. There are a lot of knowlegable people that frequent these boards.
Btw welcome to freetrainers, fill out your profile and let us know your goals.

where are you on LI, my gym is in the Moriches, it has a number of PT's there, not sure if they'd travel to your area, however might be woth giving the gym a call.

I've read your profile and kudos to you. You will make some great gains mentally and phisicly (SP) when you get back into the gym, and have a clean diet. I strongly suggest a program on here. It works and there is a great support group.
Good Luck to you.

Thanks. Since I'm new here how do I go about starting a program on here? I'm curious to see what I can find though I know I'd do my best with an in-home trainer. I'm more motivated to get my butt out of bed and work out with a trainer kicking my ass than I am to do it alone.

If you go to the fitness resources area of the site there are about 12 different routines you could choose from.
When you choose one, answer all the questions and it will give you a very nice workout.
Go get it!

Is there any personal trainer in Wellington New Zealand that wouldn't mind training me for free.
