Hi everyone. I am currently doing a split workout. One workout in the morning and one in the evening. Basically spilting my cardio routine because of time restraints. My question is about my evening post workout meal. Mainly everything you read states to eat light before going to bed. My evening workout is actually at night around 8pm. I go to bed around 11pm. Does the same remain true about eating light? Thank you for any help.
What you eat post workout depends on whether it is a cardio session or a weight session. After weights you should try to get a high protein meal or whey shake into your system within an hour, even if it is late at night. From what I understand it is good to do your cardio separate from your workout and in the morning is best.
