Hey guys. I found a list of the "must have" bodybuilding supplements from some competitive bodybuilders.
1. A high quality/low carb protein powder or meal replacement powder with a combination of whey and milk proteins.
2. A multi vitamin/mineral supplement.
3. A high quality BCAA (branched chain amino acid) supplement.
4. Creatine Monohydrate.
(You'll want to cycle off this every so often)
5. Flax Seed Oil or Udo's Choice Oil.
I don't plan on taking any supplements, but I was wondering what is your take on this? Are these good supplements to take? Aby other essential supplements? Thanks.

If you are going to compete, it will be hard to succeed without using some sort of supplement regimen. There is nothing wrong with using supplements, a lot of times it almost becomes necessary. The supplements you have listed are, in my book, necessary supplements for anybody that is into weight training, ESPECIALLY the multi-vitamin/mineral supplement. That should be at the top with the protein.

Just remember, timbaland, that they are called supplements for a reason. They will do absolutely jack if your diet sucks.

What exactly is the importance of the multi-vitamin mineral supplement? I never understood the importance of it. And can you guys suggest some brand.

Multi vitamin/mineral supplement should be in your diet regimine regardless of working out or not. Just for optimal health. I took them long before ever doing this stuff. They are essential for overall good health. Vit C and Zinc for instance can greatly boost your immune system, keeping you from getting colds and flu as often. Food these days is very processed. Vitamins and minerals are often taken out in the name of perservatives and money.
-------------- As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.
