Seated flyes with dumbells will work just fine. Start with a weight that you will be able to handle with proper form.

carivan, you give such good advice!!!! I would do the same thing, seated flys with the DB, just watch your form, you lose your form you lose the benefits of the exercise all together.

I was just checking out that exercise on my routine and it says you can also use a pec dec for this exercise. Gonna check that out next time and, if I don't feel comfortable, will just use dbs.

cable flies also work well with or without the bench good advice and good luck
