Hi all, I am wondering if anybody else here works shift work and can give me some tips on eating? - I basically stick to healthy food and it's easy to maintain this on a dayshift but I work 12hr shift work so when I hit the nightshift I still eat similar stuff but i've eaten similar during the day also so i'm worried i'm eating too much? - I'm sticking to my nutrion plan on freetrainers but when I do nightshift this goes over!
Eat something with protein and complex carbohydrates and a little fat every three hours when awake, you shouldn't be consuming too much food if you stick to that. Work makes it hard, find some MR shakes that you like and try mini meals like string cheese sticks and celery/crunchy veggies and wasa crisp bread, stuff that doesn't need too much refrigeration or reheating.
