I started a job on June 2nd that involves lots of physical stuff, but I don't really know what to credit. Last June, I was 252lbs at my highest...now down to 197. Just one month ago, I was 208, then suddenly it was 202, then 197lbs. I'm afraid I'm losing some muscle mass, but I have to credit the increased metabolism from working out, lots of daily activity at my job, and maybe CLA supplements.
Either way, I'm now sort of carefree and eating what I like as long as I get my protein. Frankly I don't care about my weight now, just my shape :D Moral of the story...beware muscle loss during dieting but also enjoy the loss (I'm sporting an 8 pack now, no doubt), and keep in mind that once you kick that metabolism into high gear, it ain't necessarily easy to just gain weight back!!!

Congrats Ogun, great news! Can I ask you how much CLA you are taking? I'm not sure how it is calculated.

Congrats to you....I don't think it was the CLA. CLA is actually good on a gaining cycle. Contrary to the media hype, its main function is to block the transport of fat cells from storage, thus not letting the fat cells you have get bigger. This is useful gaining, due to this. On a cut(diet), you should not be taking in enought bad calories and fats to warrant its use.

I grabbed the Tonalin CLA based on bb1's suggestion about brand...can't tell you how much is in the pill right now but I was taking two a day, then got busy and have usually been taking one, and on some days none at all.

The normal dosage is 4-6 gr. per day in divided doses with meals. It is rather expensive, and if dieting, will not really benefit you. Tonalin is the brand to get, want it made with pure safflower oil.

Well I think this is all part of my stress over divorce/custody crap (believe me if you haven't been through it--Hollywood doesn't have HALF of the drama of a real family court) but now I'm down to 192lbs! 252 - 192 = 60lbs total! Stress rocks!
