Hi everyone...I'm new to the site but not to weight training...my question is...For weight loss should I increase my number of reps per set or should I increase the number of sets with the same number of reps??? Example currently do 3 sets w/ 15 reps each (been doing this a while with varying weights) or should i increase to 5 sets of 15 or 3 sets of 20-25?????

You should take a look at your diet as that is the MOST important factor in losing body fat. Next instead of increasing workload, I would try to decrease work time..ex. if you take 2 min to recover after your last set, cut it down to 130, 1, 30 and so on, then if diet, and weight training alone don't work...they should, add in cardio slowly.

I did the 3 sets of 15 reps for 2 years with little results after the first couple months. Not until I started lifting heavier and fewer reps did I start seeing the results in my shape and actual weight loss. The more muscle you have the better for fat loss. It took me too long to realize that and now that I know it I am preaching it to everyone....sorry about that. Try it, I think you will like it.
