I want to work out as often as I can, but I also don't want to overtrain and not give my muscles enough time to heal and grow.
With that in mind, is 48 hours sufficient time for a muscle group to heal between workouts? Or do they need more time?
If 48 hours is good can I work upper body Mon/Wed/Fri, lower body Tue/Thu/Sat and take off only Sunday. Or would that be over doing it?
Any advice would be appreciated, or if there's another good message thread or FAQ I should read you could just give me a link there instead. Thanks,

48 hours is the minimum rest you should get, but six days a week sounds like a bit much. Your muscles grow when you rest. You might want to do upper body M/Th and lower body T/F. Leave W/Sat/Sun for rest. If you really want to go to the gym more, do some light cardio, but give your body time to recover. Not sure about other threads...the search feature isn't that good.

I did the same routine before and I didn't grow very much. Assuming you want to get bigger, I think you are overtraining. You may increase your strength as I did, but you probably won't grow.
