Well slvrtounge.. it's not easy to keep motivation up. Many of us battle with it often. It's something that will come with your decision to make some "big" permanent changes in your lifestyle. When it becomes important enough for you it will come. If you ever need a kick in the rump to get going let us know. You'll be happy you did!

Hi slvrtounge... I had the same problem as you as far as motivation is concerned and though I am a female my height and weight were close to yours. I just could not stick with any plan for longer than a week or two. What finally got me to stick with it was to get on the scale in front of a friend (very embarrassing for me)and have them log my weight every Sunday. For some reason just knowing that someone was looking over my shoulder truly helped. I didn't want my friend to think I couldn't do and I needed to do it for myself. I have now been dieting for a month and lost 15 pounds. I am hoping to lose 5 more pounds my Sunday. "Once you get started it does become addicting". Good Luck to you!

I am by NO MEANS an expert!
But, when I find it tough to keep going, I do something different. For example, I don't feel like running, I might ride a bike for a few days.
To me, the trick is, do SOMETHING!
