Hay people, how are you. I read some of these topics and everone seems to be doing so well. Good job everyone.
This has got to be stupid but I am feeling a little depressed about what I'm lifting. Yes, it is more than what I started out at but it doesn't seem like it's enough.
I'm 39. When I started this program I was at about 150lbs. Now I'm 170. I'm squating 300lbs. deadlift of the same and trying to bench the same 300, coming close but not quite there yet. I only have 16 inch arms and keep thinking they should be bigger than that. I'm the guy, if anyone remembers, that tore a bicep tendon like 7 months ago. It's taken alot of time to be able to curl a 50 lb. dumbell again. My dad has always been extremely strong and I wish to be the same. Am I just being a whinner or does this happen with everyone. About the body weight, I'm not fat at all I guess it must be the protein shakes. 1 on off days and two on workout days. Anyway, I sure appreciate you guys. Lift safe and take care of yourself.

We all have our demons that we deal with from time to time. I've had those days where I look in the mirror and feel really skinny, or can't get as much weight as I had hoped. But in reality, we have to recognize how far we've come. You're 5'7" with 16 inch arms....that's great. I'm 6'2" with roughly the same size and I'm considered "big" by most people, so you're obviously no small guy. You're doing a LOT more weight than most people ever will, so you have nothing to worry about. Just keep plugging away, set realistic goals for YOURSELF, and stay positive. Good luck

16" arms are pretty good. Its ok if your bench is less than your squat and deadlift. Of the 3 lifts, it is generally the weakest one. I'm 6' 180 and my arms aren't as big as yours. You're probably going through one of those phases where you constantly doubt yourself, most people go through it. I know I have. Just try to be positive. Good luck.
