I have started a weight training/cardio program about 3 months ago and I am not really seeing the results I want. I can, however, feel my body becoming more firmer and i do feel healthier. I am 37 year old female. I weigh 170 and am 5'2". I am short and stocky and would like (i mean LOVE) to thin up again. I have modified my diet and in my opinion, after reading a few posts, I believe I am overtraining. Not sure however..Here is my schedule..3 alternating days cardio-20-30 min eliptical or treadmill..The other 2-3 days (M,W,F)is weight training. I push myself to fatigue and work both upper and lower body. I recently got a personal trainer to teach me form, etc. I learned alot from her but I feel I need to learn sooooo much more. I want this to be a life change and I want to do it the right way. I dont want to cut corners or do anything wrong. I am investing alot of money and time and it means alot to me.

Also about sups. When is the best time to take them. And for my situation what would be the best kind. I drink soy protein and like the taste but is there something better?

Any advice is appreciated!!

Please list your diet too because it is very important. For your cardio workouts, I'm not sure if 20-30 minutes is enough unless you're going as fast as you can for the exercises. Generally it takes 10-15 minutes to just break a sweat. Since you've been on that plan for 3 months try changing things up a little bit. Try doing your cardio after you lift weights now. Good luck.
