I eat a good amount of vegetables, beans, and lentils.
However, it causes me so much gas:)
Any suggestion, how to avoid that?
Thanks

If you boil the veg, apparently adding a small spoon of mustard seed to the water stops the gas problems. Never tried it though, and don't know how it would taste; but you might want to give it a go.

High protein + fibrous carbs = GAS! LOL! It seems there is no way around it. I find I even burp <excuse me> a lot more than I used to. Tums help some but I don't think there is a 'cure'.

gas is caused by undigested fermenting food in the intestines. masticate...if that's not enough take an enzyme...like bean-o.

I use this: http://www.thevitaminshoppe.com/browse/sku_detail.jhtml?SkuID=4121&BreadCrumbType=SearchResult

They are a little bit on the expensive side, but i only take them with very heavy meals. They seem to help a lot.

Also, I have learned that digestion starts in the mouth. There are enzymes in the saliva that start to break down food. If food isn't chewed enough, that part of digestion is skipped. Try chewing your foods untilt there it is really broken down in your mouth and then swallow it.

With that said, if your mouth is dry when you eat and you do not produce enough saliva, that can hamper digestion as well.
