I just had my Gall Bladder removed, and am not allowed to do any heavy lifting for 3 weeks, once this is up, I am sure I will be extremely weak, whats a way to exercise lightly now without hurting myself, or breaking the doctors rule of no heavy lifting/extreme physical activity?

Sorry to hear about that. My classmate's dad had that and he stuck to walking for the first month after surgery. It's important that you watch what you eat because my classmate's dad gained a lot of weight in a half year after surgery.

3 weeks off is nothing. Consider yourself lucky that its only that much time. A simple wrist fracture for me has taken almost 8 months to heal, and it still hurts too much to lift. I doubt the loss in strength will be much, you may be bit tired and sore the first day back, but that’s it.

It’s important that you wait until you know its safe to lift again. The minimal loss in strength is a small price to pay for preventing a very severe injury you may have to live with for months.

I know how you feel man, I broke my wrist in 6 places my senior year of High School. I spent the entire football season on the sidelines. Couldnt lift for almost a year after that because of the pain.
