When are you supposed to weigh your chicken/beef/etc? I was weighing it after it was cooked, but the other day I needed to make a recipe that asked for a particular weight of chicken breast before cooking. My 9.2oz chicken breast only weighed 7oz after it was cooked. So I am confused about the difference. What do most of you do?

Most diets, unless otherwise noted are given in amounts pre cooked.

That does cause a problem when cooking more than one serving at a time, doesn't it? So the nutrition facts on a bag of frozen chicken breasts are for the uncooked weights?
