I was wondering if there are any kinds of techniques to use eating and in the gym to help get those abs to get more exposed through the skin. I have abs, but I have the slightest layer of fat that keeps you from noticing them all. Is this from carbs. or what? I do cardio almost everyday for at least 2 miles, i eat pretty healthy, and I lift 5 times a week. What is causing these abs not to show, everything else is ideal except my stomach, could it be genetics?

In a word....diet. There are many posts here about abs and what you need to do with your diet.

You'll need to cycle your carbs, eat more proteins and good fat, do heavy weight training and HIIT.
That should help you! (o; (do a search!)

1. DIET!
2. Calorie Deficit
3. Cardio
4. Training Abs with weight, not for 50-100 reps but more in the range of 10-15, followed by non weighted movements with reps in the range of 20-25.
5. Regular workout
Lots of people neglect a diet, a pretty good diet with pretty good foods will get you pretty good abs to get excellent abs you have to have an excellent diet from excellent food sources, calorie intake has to be less then calorie output, most people place their ab workouts at the end of there training session...using the priority principle place them at the begining giving them full concentration at peak condition, then follow with your regular workout where having pre-exhausted them will heighten ab development.
