A friendly warning:
I made the biggest mistake of my life by being pursuaded into signing a contract that I am now locked into and has cost me ALOT of hard-earned money with absolutely nothing but confusion, over -whelming stress and an extra 25 lbs of fat to show for it. I just hope to help at least one person avoid this nightmare.
I've learned more from this site in my 2 free visits than in the 2 years of training that has cost me thousands! Any LA Fitness members please avoid Body of Change at all costs! It is not worth it!

I wish I had found this link before I joined Body of Change. Due to work schedule and special circumstances, I informed them that I could only work out at 4 am. This was fine for the first 2 months, and then no trainers were available any longer at that time. When I did finally get a trainer, she put me on my usual circuit and told me to keep up the reps until I could do no more. I asked her if she had been informed of my knee and shoulder problems (no cartlidge) and she stated that no one had told her anything about me. When I first talked with Body of Change in the presence of the manager and trainer, I was told that we had a gentlemans agreement to cancel any time I wanted with 30 days notice. When I attempted to cancel, I had to try for 4 days to contact the person I was told could help me, with no response to my Voice mail. When I did finally get the right person, I was told to read the contract. There are no verbal agreements, and I would owe them 50% of the contract to get out of the contract. I explained all my concerns and lack of trainers, and was informed that it was too bad, but I had signed the contract and it was binding. No excuses were acceptable for termination. Stay AWAY!

Lucky me - I just found out today that LA Fitness bought out the Body of Change franchise (at least in my gym) and my contract is void. Kind of too bad though - I had a really good trainer and the new LA Fitness training rates are more than double the old rates.
