Hi,
I am new here and wanted to ask if doing the ab workout recommed to me is going to help with the fat I have sitting on my lower abs. I have a belly that never went away after having my kids.
thanks,
Kat

Hey,

from what I"ve been told around here(and am doing now), diet is the 80-90% of the abs. Cut down on fats and carbs. Just setup a nutrition plan on here to get lean/shape/toned. Mine limits me to only 39 Grams of fat a day!

Good luck!

Diet really is the key in abs as echotype mentioned. Also, one cannot spot reduce fat. It just comes off where it wants to come off - and hopefully it will be where we want it to!

yea. unfortunately the body (at least it seems to) loves to store our fat in our stomach area first, but it loves to remove it last.

so don't get discouraged if you lean/tone up in your arms, face, legs, etc before your stomach!

good luck

How much cardio do you do each day?

Contrary to the media, ab training does not burn fat in any way. Do your ab workout as designated to you, just adjust your calories. Bottom line, sounds simple, but it is what works, calories expended greater than calorie intake on a consistent basis.

My resounding answer is YES! Although I know all are saying is that you need to reduce your caloric intake (which is also correct), the ab workout in here will help you tremendously. I have not had any children, but I have somehow developed this "gut" underneat my belly button. It is slowly but surely minimizing by following the ab workout in here. Also, start reading your labels... after awhile, I inadvertantly realized that I shouldn't eat this, shouldn't eat that and so I quite eating some things! Every little motivation helps.

Keep after it!
