Alright. I talked to a friend who told me some things.

What I'm wondering and hopefully you guys can answer are some questions. Would you recommend the use for a short time to get an atheletic advantage/put on some good amounts of muscle and size for next years sports(and college atheletics eventually). Will responsible use prevent shrinkage of my prized areas, balding, etc?

Will use cause acne outbreaks?

Overall, would you recommend it for the atheletic stand point. If not, would between now and next summer be enough time to get to around 200 pounds and in great football condition, maybe more than 200 pounds.

Thanks!

You will find the majority are against steriods. ANd for most colleges any drugs like that will get you kicked off the team very fast. How much do you weigh? If you need like 50lbs to reach 200 then I would say yeah maybe a year is not long enough. I feel that if gain weight ok just eat a lot and make sur eit is clean food (no BK McD etc) and just eat a lot....

thanks for your help mutt.

what I meant about the colleges was that steroids won't show up on most tests if taken quite some time before hand, like a year or several months.

thanks agaiN!

also, would you recommend it or what. I mean, I'm at around 160, should be pushing to 170 and would like to get to 200 or a little above for next summer.

Think I could do it without use of steroids and good use of a diet and hard workouts?

thanks

Originally this was meant as a direct reply due to its personal nature, but I feel the need to share it so all can hopefully benifit. After being overweight & loosing a considerable amount of weight I started body building at 185lbs @ 20% bodyfat & for years I trained & was hoping to become a competitive bodybuilder, when I achieved a certain level of developement I got in with the bodbuilding crowd & fell to the pressures of steroids. Well to make a long story short I managed to work my way up to 260@ 12% but started noticing the ugly side effects within the first year. Upon cycling off I was unable to maintain my progress as my body had shut down & I had neither the energy or ambition to train. Years latter I found myself no longer training & weighing 275 @ over 30% bodyfat & needed to make a change. To start this off I had a physical done & found that there were comlications with my liver(please note I used for less than a year!) Since then with instruction through a certification industry within the last 2 years I have dropped opped down to 205 @ 10% & now currently at 230 @ 12%. My plans are to break the 250 range @ less than 10% naturally & have no doubts that with knowledge & determination I will achieve my goal & then some. I am sharing this story in the hopes that you will realize that all is possible without putting yourself at risk as I did & that maybe you can learn from my mistake.I believe you can accomplish anything that you can dream without comprimising yourself as i once did. Trust me, it has been a long difficult road back. Best of luck & health.

thanks for that story plfitness, that influenced me some for sure. I guess with hard work I could get a little over 200 pounds for next summer, and I mean very hard work.

thanks!

Ok here it is......YOU ARE 15!!!!! Take advantage of tht eat a lot train hard and you will gain close to 20 lbs in a year ( if you are not a hardgainer). AS for them not being able to test in a year for it I would not bet your whole life on that fact.. Dude I am almost 33 and I still ave about 10 lbs of muscle a year just be eating and training heavy I do not even take whey or any other protein except that which I get thru steak chicken and tuna! Listen to your body and train as heavy as you can!

I know that advice coming from a girl will go in one ear and out the other, but steroids stay with you. A short amount of use could mean a life time of problems. I have taken medical steroids all of my life, and yes, the doctors have told me that they do not affect the body like steroids used for muscle/weight gain. Over time they do become like the other steroids and now that I am old enough to be starting a family I am finding out that I cannot have children due to the use of the steroids. So, in short I would say that you are young and that with a fair amount of hard work you can reach your goal,. and do not take another look at those steroids. They may cause wonderful gains in the beginning, but in the long run they will be nothing, but trouble

thanks guys for all your input.

I've decided to stray from then, unless for some unforeseen circumstance I MUST take them.

Thanks!

In professional bodybuilding and also in the amateur steroids are very popular. Most of them (if not everyone) don't admit it, but many who say that never took them actually do. And why? Because it is still taboo. Do you think that a Mr. Olympia is going to get that great only with eating in a world that moves in a fast pace and when you need quick results? I don't think so, this substances are in all sports, only that they are smart enough to "clean" and pass the antidoping successfully. After all, it is a decision of every one according with goals and how far people want to get.
