Your diet should consist of 5-6 meals per day. I know this sounds like maybe even more than you are eating now, but honestly, the more often you eat, the more it revs your metabolism. Now these are not large meals, just simply medium meals with a good portion of protein at each one, 30 gr. or so, some good complex carbs (1/2 c. or so) like black, lima, kidney beans, or black eyed peas, or at one meal a 5 oz. sweet potato. Add in at 2 meals a serving of EFA's, some healthy fats like flax oil. Fish oils are good, cold water fish have alot of them, like salmon, tuna, etc. if you can eat fish. Protein powders may be a good choice for you being a vegetarian. They may be a way to meet your needed protein needs. If you can do dairy, then eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt and milk along with a bit of cheese will be of great aid to you. Hope this helps.
