I am trying to gain mass and was wondering what a good slow digesting protein was for night time because I heard you can lose a lot of your muscle overnight because your body hasn't eaten anything for eight hours. Also, should I take carbs before bed to gain muscle? Thanks.

Cottage cheese or any casein based protein. Cottage cheese gels in the stomach, thus a slow release of amino acids into the bloodstream.

I prefer a chicken breast washed down with some milk. Fat-free cottage cheese is great, too.
