I am new here and new to this type of exercise. When doing the excercises am I supposed to complete a muscle group before moving on or do it as a circuit?

Thanks

If you are using one of the programs from this site, follow whatever it says. If you are making up your own, you can do it several different ways. Do what works for you in your time frame and with your level of fitness. Sometimes when you first start out it is good to do a total body workout for a few weeks, 2-3 times a week. I never had time for that, so I've always done a split. Good luck.

I do not see where it says whether it is a circuit or complete the muscle group. I am doing the 8-12 week split from this sight. The printed workout has one exercise and all its reps then another exercise and its reps. I am thinking that I am supposed to complete the muscle group before moving on.
