OK, so I am not one of those people who look forward to getting older/getting wiser or however one wishes to soften the blow of increased age/wrinkles/gravity. No hero am I. I look forward to the 14th of Sept with about the same enthusiasm I have for a root canal....Actually a root canal is probably preferable. So this year I have opted to switch my years to American. Considering our Canadian money is worth only about 70% (on a good day) as American, I have decided to count my age in American henceforth. So instead of being mid 30’s I am back to my 20’s!!!….. I guess in a few years I may have to switch to Italian lira…..:( I can hardly contain my excitement...rah :P

You silly girls, you are still young uns! Every year we make it to another birthday is a gift. If you're worrying about getting older then you aren't enjoying being the age you are right this minute. And, you will never be this age again, so live it and love it. Besides we members of FT know that we will always 'look' younger than others our age because we have such a healthy lifestyle. Happy Birthday Lana. Enjoy!

I know how you feel, amazon, today is my birthday, you ever notice how from age 10-21 it's the best day in the year, well maybe second best everyone loves christmas, but anyway you tell everyone hey it's my birthday I'm such and such today, then after hitting that 22, 23, 24 it becomes more and more secretive, I just hit 28, and I'm keeping it secret, I'm definatly not looking forward to the big 30.

No matter how I get, I always celebrate each birthday as though it were going to be my last, because ya just never know! Might as well have some fun while you can - life is just too short to be taken seriously...

True...so true....my brother once said to my mom..."well, i made seventeen years, some people don't make it that far." you have to be optimistic think of the families of kids who die young...they would give anything to turn 50 or sixty...cause that's what life is all about, and that's livin' it's not how short or how long you are here, numerical value is of no importance....the good ones go first, the rest of us, well we still got something to prove!

Happy B-day I_Am-azon! I'm sure you're getting older, don't know about the "wiser" part. lol (I'll pay for that one). Hope your b-day was good.

Thanks everybody! - I guess it could be worse, and I should be happy that I am still around for yet another year.(Even if it is just to bug RW, carivan, dp etc etc)

gretch - it doesn't hurt all that bad, and my metabolism still seems as fast as it evr was (another thing I should be happy about)
Merci tout le monde!
