if i'm not sore at all the day after i work a muscle, does that mean i didn't work it hard enough?

No, but you should at least fell as though you worked it...try changing up a routine, recording weights and reps and trying to go more the next time.

I don't seem to be sore until 2 sometimes 3 days later. Weird, I know. Usually the day after I feel fine. By all means though, if you can go heavier without compromising your form, then do it.

being sore a few days later isn't weird. just some people have slower recooperations than others. burns are good over all except when it feels like something is broken, then its not good.
