Hey - is anyone in Isabel's path? Hoping everyone is safe...

Hey there Kirby, where ya been hidin'? I saw on the news last night a family readying for the storm and they had little orange life vests on their dogs. Can't imagine something like that. Here in AZ we have the opposite problem. Not enough weather...lol.

Hi Victoria - I've been around, just really quiet :) Yeah - AZ's just hot & dry. I was in Phoenix a few summers back and saw a really cool lightning storm... In Cali we don't have tornadoes like when I lived in Illinois, but I must say - earthquakes sound pretty scary!

I can't imagine going through that. We only get blizzards.
Some of our electric crews from Montreal went down to help out. We are supposed to get the end of it here on Saturday though, but by then it will have petered out.

I've had my share of blizzards! I'm not a fan of shoveling, so I moved south. ;) I live in Central FL and I've been through 2 tropical storms in 7 years and that's all. We were a bit concerned about Isabel when she was at 160mph and headed straight for us. Hope all is well with our NC members.

We missed IZZY here in Charlotte NC. We got Hugoed in '89 and iced rather badly this past winter. I've been in the eye of 3 hurricanes and never wish to do it again.

We have an office in McLean, VA...but no discernable damage from what I gather. Although, I am sorry for those that were negatively affected by Isabel in the outlying areas...

And now there is Marty down in the baja causing trouble. We here in AZ are getting some great late summer rain from it. It rarely rains for 24 hrs straight around here so this is really nice. Only thing is it makes me want to be home in bed or baking something...lol.
