Is there any time in your diet where shakes have to be vut of your diet?

I was told to cut them out as much as possible when dieting for a show because your metabolism will stay up better when you have to digest real fod. It is a pain in the butt to eat reg food as many times a day as you are eating, but it will keep the results coming.

Are you saying to eat 5 straight meals of real food? in oppose to 3 meals and 2 shakes?

Yeah, actually, closer to the competition I was eating little meals every two hours, all day long.

This is true, but I never ever cut my post workout nutrition. That is asking for an immediate loss of lean tissue. If I do have a shake during the day on contest dieting, due to the quicker absorbtion, I go 2 hours at max till my next meal rather than the normal 3.
