Im taking EAS Creatine PLus and EAS Whey Protein once a day, immediately after my workouts. Ive been doing this for 3 months now, ive noticed little gains but nothing incredible. Is this to be expected? Am i doing this right? Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated....:)

Well i took the straight monohydrate with gatorade for about a week, it was giving me headaches so i tried the EAS stuff and its 5g creatine per serving plus the stuff mixed with it for flavor (i guess). It doesnt give me the headaches, and i feel more energetic.Protein drink is 20g protein in a flavoed shake you mix with milk. I only take these once on my workout days, which is 5 days a week!

Don't mix it with milk right after training.

So, keep up the same amount, the protein is a vanilla flavored shake, any suggestions on what to mix it with?

One quater of your bodyweight is a good protein amount for replenishing after a hard training session. It is best to enhance the uptake of this with some simple sugars like a dextrose/malto combo. Both of these are very cheap. 2 lbs. of dextrose for $1.95 at www.dpsnutrition.com.

Glad to help...here are some guidelines on the dextrose/malto amounts, and they are basically a good place to start. You can adjust if needed. 1/4 of your weight if divided 50/50 between dextrose and malto if you are gaining. If you are trying to burn fat, cutting, then reduce that amount in half. Always keep your protein though at 1/4 your bodyweight.

GNC Mega Men and Ultra Mega for Women...don't use it. They are entirely over-rated, and are about the worst supplement on the market.

BB1fit, why shouldn't you mix creatine with milk post-workout? Does that include soymilk?

The reason I said do not use milk immediately post workout was more to deal with protein, but even creatine. Milk will slow digestion, and this is the exact opposite of what you want at this time. You want quick absorbtion, and simple sugars here will insure this. Take your creatine on the side, then drink half your protein/carb mix. Sip the rest for about 45 minutes to regulate blood sugars back to normal for recovery. Then eat a balanced meal.

In my opinion, ephedra is dangerous. Many will argue this point with valid arguments. My reasoning is thus, I am a very healthy individual, been into vitamins, health, etc. long before I ever started bodybuilding. I took ephedra, and the correct dosage, like stated, half of the normal dosage to start with. I was driving to work, started feeling shaky. At work, I literally had nerves and sweats. It was actually very scary. So, if it can have this effect on a normal healthy person, in my eyes the risk is not worth it and it is dangerous. Now, it may not and will not do this to you, so you may consider it safe. But the point to me is IF IT CAN have this effect on folks, that in itself is dangerous. My wife took it, max dosage, with no problems and it worked well for her. But, to me, the danger is there and this is not acceptible to give randomly to anyone and let this happen what happened to me. I am sure there is much abuse, as there is with all bodybuilding supplements, but the danger lurks even with normal use for a few of us.
