and I am a Body Abuser. There I said it, now does it get easier from here? I am a single mother, 29 coming up on my 30th at the end of January. I work full time, I am starting back at school full time and own my own business. On top of this I would like to get my body in shape. I used to (many years ago) lift weights and workout with the Navy Seals when I was married to the military. NOW? 5' 8" 310lbs gorgeous blue eyes, blonde hair and look like a model (from the chin up). As for the rest of me, may it rest in peace. What am I saying and asking? Well first I'd like to admit I have no will power, none at all. seriously NONE. I have abused my body for the last 10 years, each year realizing I wasn't all that bad until I look at myself again and confess I am awaful. I am not depressed just struggling and feel determined to make a change in my life. I started smoking again when my daughter turned 2,I want to quit, I don't eat right, but also don't know what is right for me. The atkins diet seems to help me feel better but not really loose weight. I have a fat rear, I call it shelf Butt, I would like to firm up my breasts, they are lovely, but gravity is taking over, if I flapp my arms hard enough I would qualify for the first non assisted human flight, I have great feet though, they are fine. I have had several surgeries on my abdomen so I have to be careful about what types of excersizes i do as well as standing on my feet for too long usually causes severe pain, primarily due to the fact that I no longer have any stomach muscles and what little i might have have been torn to shreds. I want to get in shape, but I am desperate for someone to be my mentor, to challenge me and remind me. I don't know where to start. I would sincerely be happy if I could loose the abs, firm up the shelf, and the boobs get some arm strength and be able to stand or walk for the human average. So if there is anyone out there that thinks they would like to undertake this challenge email me, post me a message, kidnapp me I don't care. I only have 4 months until my birthday and I would like to look like a hot bbw with a great rack, legs and buttocks. I want to get the looks and the whistels. Let me know.

hi heather, hun I feel your pain, but great sense of humor!
Im 35 feelin old and feelin shitty, 218lbs, I had a ceserian section 12 yrs ago...been overweight since I was 20. NO stomack muscles..well Im getting some..been walking for about 3 weeks now, 3 miles every other day..(well 3 times a week) and working out to a dvd I got from columbia house called "I want that body" by tamilee webb...its pretty good..works arms, abs, and buns. trying to figure out this site though I am very confused , the nutritioinal program says I should be consuming 2904 calories a day which is way more than I've been eating and the carbs , protein and fats are high too...kinda scary , In fact Im too scared to follow this..someone posted me in reguard to my concern to this dillema and said that, that is for someone who is lifting heavy weights...so I went back and un-checked the free weights box that I had checked and it still says I should be having 2904 calories a day...so confused...but im gonna keep following tamilees plan...anyway...I know how ya feel. I have had nooo willpower for years..but im just gonna keep on truckin...and walkin....to find that skinny me..I know shes out there, I just gotta find her again....ps, does your nutritional program say you should be eating a high amount of calories, carbs, proteins ,etc.? |

My name is Brandy and I am 29 and very overweight at 223. I am miserable. I have always been big but this is crazy. I hate exercise but I am doing it anyway with every grunting. I want to lose at least 80 pounds and find the me I know is in there. I have weighed 119 pounds in my adult life at one time but my husband says just taste this and now look, I taste everything!! I don't have any excuses except I am lazy. I want to join the YMCA water aerobics within the next 2 weeks. I don't have any will power at all. The only will power I have is to power myself to the kitchen to eat. Hope you get all you want in life and good luck to you.

"I don't have willpower" is a mighty phrase when we're looking to place blame on gaining weight or not losing like we want to. Actually, you all have a tremendous amount of willpower. When you change how you eat and your mind perceives this as starvation, your willpower kicks in and causes you to eat. Willpower is less about dieting and more about surviving.
So what do I do you ask? First, we have to change our perceptions about willpower. Then break our old habits about eating and how we think about eating. Every weight loss and management program talks about eating 5-6 small meals a day. That alone will change the way your mind perceives food and cause your willpower to change focus. Suddenly your mind won't think about starving and will start thinking about metabolizing the food you ate because another meal is coming soon. Between that and exercising, your body will start to react in a new and great way. But we have to break those habits that have gotten us in this position of unhappiness with ourselves. If you notice, I said we. Let me give you some insight if you haven't seen any of my posts. I'm m, 5'11 and 250lbs. Five years ago I was 210 and ballooned up to 282. I went from a size 38 waist to a 44/46 in what seemed to be a heartbeat. I was miserable. Then I changed my diet and started exercising again. I got down to 270. Then I started the Atkins plan and dropped to 250, but my waist was the biggest changer. I went down to a 38 again, even though I was 40 lbs heavier than originally. I'm back up to a size 40/42, but I'm back to eating right and exercising. You have to remember though to treat yourself right. Become your own best friend. You know, that one who tells you like it is and keeps it real? Be real with yourself. Don't let yourself get off of a good weight loss program or eating system and get back to eating like you are now. Your friend wouldn't want you to be unhappy, would they? You are all beautiful people and with the support of the wonderful people here you can make the change you want in your life. You can become that truly beautiful and inspirational person you see in your mind. Become who you have always wanted to be. I may never be perfectly lean, but I'm going to work on my body to become strong, muscular and healthy so I can feel great about myself. But I'm also going to change how I eat because that is the greatest change I can make. You can make this change too. Junghart, change how you eat to be healthier and to help lose the weight. You have a fantastic motivation, your daughter. But you also have a fantastic attitude and great sense of humor, not to mention a wonderful idea of who you want to be. Brandy, changing the way you perceive exercise and how you eat will be the biggest challenge. But if you can make this change, you will see wonderful results. And remember what your grandpa said too. We're all with you and available if you need to talk or need help. You're doing great! -------------- The meek shall inherit the Earth, but the strong and muscular will carry them through it! That which does not kill me can only make me stronger. |

hey guys, you know you just have to do things you dont like sometimes- and when things are hard its just another reminder that "life is hard in many capacities"(IF YOU CAN HANDLE FUNERALS- YOU CAN HANDLE EXERCISE AND EATING BETTER).Do your research by all means, and increase your vitamin c and e to alleviate soreness(in addition to a good multivitamin)and stay in the produce isle and try skim milk(or 1%)and buY your meats lean and eat fruit .And when you HATE EXERCISE PUT YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC IN A PAIR OF HEADPHONES, AND LET THE TIME FLY BY.But whatever you do man, dont overanalise the "overabundance of information out there"(that is why everyone is confused).Look at the 72 year old mall walkers diong 5 miles a day (do you think that they are all on whey protein powder and branch chain amino acids loaded with super supplements such as creatine monohydrate......NOPE!)THEY SIMPLY GET UP AND WALK THEIR BUTTS OFF AND EAT PRETTY NORMAL.And if your wanting to get in better shape(not qualify for the olympics)then you need do no different then the mall walkers(as long as you are healthy by your docter).

No will power-let me see-mother of a 2 year old, work full time, own your own business, starting back to school, my goodness if that's not will power, I don't know what is. Of course, I'm no expert but sounds to me as if you have simply developed some bad habits over the years. From the way I read your post you have what it takes to change those habits and you know WHAT YOU WANT to boot. Go for it. With motivation like that you can achieve your goals. One bit of advice I would give is this-set some small, attainable, easy to measure goals as part of your larger goal. These can be simple such as-start the day off with a healthy breakfast, change your diet to 5-6 smaller meals during the day, walk an extra few minutes every day, begin an exercise routine. These are all small steps that can be incorporated on a weekly then daily basis. I'll be rooting for you all the way. Good Luck
