I've been working out every other day now for about a month and on my workout days I am drinking a double-dose(46 grams) of ON's 100% whey protien right before my workout and another double directly after and on my rest days I am drinking three single servings(morning, noon and night).
I weigh 165 lbs and plan on bumping this up to either 6(138 grams) or 7(161 grams) servings a day to help achieve my goals. Is this advisible? Since I am wanting to take in more protien than a gram per pound should I still use the 1/2 from powder-1/2 from diet rule?
All I am taking right now is the protien drink & GNC Mega-Men vitamins. I have been advised by a credible source not to start taking creatine until I hit a plateau.
You should know that even though I am not an advanced bodybuilder I have chosen the "special 12-week mass" and "special 12 week abs" programs to meet these marks. I am not trying to better than anybody else or tuff, cool or macho, I just feel this is what I personally need to get me where I want to be(mentally and physically). Believe me under normal circumstances I would be more conservative but circumstances are not normal, anybody who read my post under relationships-Turning bad to good(accidentally posted under "null") knows what I mean. After my first workout(squats, leg presses and calve raises) I know this wont be easy but it is exactly what I want, I am looking forward to working my shoulders, triceps and abs tomorrow. I know when Christmas and New Years rolls around I will be pleased and I look forward to starting a new plan then to start preparing for summer.
Anyone who could offer me advice or comments on my questions, upcoming weeks, diet or anyhting that may help would be welcomed and much appreciated.
Thanks,
