Wow, I just tried Morningstar Farms Prime Grillers veggie burger - it is really good, a little oily, but here is the nutrition info on it - what do you guys think?
1 patty (I eat two to get enough protein for me)has
170 cal
9g fat : 1 saturated, 4 polyunsaturated, 4 monounsaturated (at least it is mostly 'good fat')
0 cholesterol (well, duh, it is a nonanimal product)
390mg sodium
160mg potassium
5g CHO; 2 g fiber
16g protein.
They are fast (about 7 minutes) to cook, and as I said before, very tasty.
What does the jury say?

I have had them. They are tasty. Did you know the leanest and best cuts of meat are bison and ostrich? Bison is great, almost a sweet beef taste. Super lean and easy to cook. Nothing special to do. A 8oz. pattie cooks up to 6 1/4 oz.! Try that with hamburger! LOL...
Just for info, I will add this. Bison, also known as buffalo, is a highly nutrient dense food because of the proportion of protein and minerals in relation to its caloric value. One pound of ground bison, in fact, contains 34 grams of protein, while its fat, cholesterol and calorie levels are lower than other popular meats, as you can see in the chart below. Comparisons to other meat sources also show that bison has a greater concentration of iron as well as some essential fatty acids necessary for human health.
Bison Nutrition Comparison Serving (3 oz.)
Calories Protein (g) Fat (g) Cholesterol (mg)
Bison 85 18 2 49
Ostrich 97 22 2 58
Chicken (skinless) 140 27 3 73
Turkey (skinless) 135 25 3 59
Beef (lean, steak) 240 23 15 77
Pork (lean, loin) 275 24 19 84

Cool, thanks, Ron.
I will have to look at the high-end grocer to see if they have bison and ostrich, I know I have found frozen bison patties at my grocer's, but not ground or ostrich of any sort (what would those drumsticks look like?).
I am really on a roll and looking for any kind of food that will keep me on track.
I have switched to muscle milk for my pre-workout shake and really like it.
It is odd to me that my problem this time around has been getting enough calories, I guess I got so used to the calorie restriction last time, I automatically eat low carb and I don't get in enough quality food.
I am not going to eat as many calories as the nutrition tracker here says, though. And in a few weeks I am going to drop some calories, but for now I feel like a stuffed turkey.
