I'm new to the gym and I want a routine to help tone up. I have no health restrictions, and plan on working out 3-4 times a week for about an hour. Where do I start?

One of the best bits of advice I can offer is to inform yourself and you'll have a little better idea of what you want to do. If you haven't already done so, I'd browse thru the site and get familiar with what's being discussed and you'll find that some of the most recent techniques and info is being traded around extensively. If you'll look at the top of the page - look at the exercise and nutrition programs and select one that fits your goals. I'm assuming from your post that you belong to a gym and normally they have a few if not several, free or nominal cost sessions with a trainer. If nothing else, they'll walk you through the basics and give you some idea what to shoot for. You've gotten half the battle over with, getting started, :) now the hard part is sticking with it. Stick with it long enough and you'll wonder how you ever DIDN'T do it.

I agree with mike, and the freetrainers programs are a great place for beginners to start.
