Whey protien

Hi Gang! I have a quick question about whey protien. I am very active in my job in addition to my workout/weight program. I have started supplementing with whey and am happy with the results.

I have a question though. I got 5# of whey off Ebay for around $30 with shipping. It works well for me, at least the last couple days, I have tolerated it well, etc. I am seeing some strength gains too.

I have checked out some "fancy" whey websites and they all totally SLAM a basic whey like I have. What is the deal? The only people maligning it seem to be companies with a vested interest in selling me their whey.

Say I can only spend $30 a month on whey. I believe I am better off getting #5 of a good basic whey (say it is a 7 on a 1-10 scale), than getting only 2 # of a "10" whey.

Am I wrong? Opinions please! I do about 4 hours cardio and 2 hours of weight lifting (free weights, leg work, and deadlifts), a week.

I am eating a low-carb diet and am very happy with the results. I am within 1% of my goal bodyfat.

If it is working for you, no need to change. One note, a whey isolate is better than a whey concentrate. But again, if whatever you are using is working, no need to fix what isn't broken!
