Glutamine has listed on it's directions to drink immediately after mixing, is this the same for whey protein? I would like to blend a weeks worth of whey with my 1%, but I wanted to ensure that there will be no loss of nutrients etc. Thanks :)

I would not mix up a weeks worth. There are no studies that indicate any loss of nutrients or potency of whey, and I quite often mix mine and freeze it in the summer for later in the day, even overnight, but I would never mix it a week in advance. This is just precautionary more than any knowlege of problems.

WOw fantastic question...to which I have no answer, but as on old hillbilly from Winchester, VA used to say to me, (actually it's a famous quote by Dave Edison) "I'm desperately trying to figure out why kamikaze pilots wore helmets."

Hope you get your answer ;)

LOL @ Ogun - thanks for your honesty!

And thanks...again bb1fit - The reason I asked was that I return home from the gym so late that using my blender wakes up my 2 yr old. Guess I will just make it up before I leave for the gym. (more dishes to do to *grumble*) LOL

Most whey mixes fine in shaker cup. I have that problem too. You may want to invest a couple bucks in one, and you can carry it anywhere, dump the powder in and get a bottle of water and instantly mix it.

I actually have shaker cups that worked fine on my old brand (no longer available)this new brand I have does not mix as well and leaves lumps (gag) It's hard enough for me to find a protein that tastes ok and mixes well, I thought I'd settle for the taste.....

I have a small electric hand mixer. It is alot quieter than a blender and I can go from cabinet, mix, clean-up, and back to cabinet in under 50.4 seconds

The 50.4 seconds is just an exageration to state how quick it is. I should stop exagerrating statements. I mean, people have told me 100,000,000,000 times to not exagerrate
