Hi
I am new to this board and also the sport of bodybuilding. I have decided that I want to get into comps but really have no idea where to start. My main problem is in the area of weight training. Can anyone give me suggestions on where to start? I have been lifting for over a year now and am relatively toned but now I want to build muscle.
I look forward to any response.

Try some of the mass gain programs here.
usually to build mass, you increase your calories, sticking with good, clean carbs, lean protein and good fats. You decrease the amount of reps and sets and increase your weights. Split your workouts up and make sure to get enough rest.
A good quality multi-vitamin/mineral will help you recover from the stress and depletion that the routine will cause.
Cut your cardio down to three times a week, 30 minutes max. If you start to feel you are adding fat and not muscle, lower your calories a little or up your cardio a little.
There is a lot of good info on these boards, look through and see what you can find.
Good luck!
