Im using formula 80 and high 5 proteins for shakes and so far have mixed them with either fruit20 or skim milk.

has anyone used soy milk to mix their powders with?

anyone know the proper ingredients to mix shakes with? skim is high in carbs. half and half is lowest in carbs but can i use that to mix my shakes with?

any help is appreciated!

I use soymilk, but am learning that for my post workout shake, I guess I should be using water as the milk slows down absorption. If you are drinking it during the day and not as your post workout, you can put just about anything in it. I have put berries, peaches, banana, oj. As long as it is within your daily nutritional goals it is up to you.

I just use water. I use ON's (Optinum Nutrition) 100% Whey. Mixes great with water. Also add some creatine 5g and Glutamine 5g with it at night after my workout.

I only use water, and if I have oatmeal for breakfast I dump it in that. Gives a great taste to the oatmeal.

I mix mine with half milk, half water, two table spoons of orange juice concentrate and a whole banana. It makes it very filling and taste like an Orange Julius.

Add simple sugars, dextrose and malto to your shake. Without doing this, you are wasting most all of your protein shake. It will be utilized for energy rather than muscle building.

Sorry Ron, but again with the malto and dextrose? I am afraid tooooooo many of us just don't know what those are. Is it something you can get from real food? Or is it a suuplement? Another thing we need to go out and get...lol? I've heard of simple syrup, made from white sugar and sater, but what is a simple sugar?
