I am new here as well and one thing I have learned is that not eatting will NOT help you lose weight. You should eat several small meals a day and avoid all junk food (especially soda). If you keep up with the program FT provides, you should be fine. Just remember to eat, don't starve yourself. Good Luck!

Whay in the world doing 60 mins of cardio a day would you fast for a month? ALl you are doing is losing wht muscle you have and slowing your metabloism to the point where losing weight will be nigh impossible. Where is the resitance training? Cardio is good for the heart, but to really lose weight(I mean Body fat) weight training is needed. Besides that eating that low can cause eating disorders and other health problems. Please do a search here to see about this many posts have been written about this.

mouctario - you'll get the same responses on this site or any other that is based on knowledge and experience. Starving yourself and over doing cardio at the same time is one sure way to lead to long term health problems - not to mention major weight gain, not loss. Check out the link posted by Intruder the other day - one of the best I've seen and worth your time to read.

They are all correct. By not eating your body will go into "survival mode" and begin to store every calorie it gets, as well as eating the protein it needs to live on in your muscle tissue. 99% of all these "fad" diets out there are actually more harmful, eating less isnt the answer. Eating right, training right and sleeping right is the answer. Good luck and please dont starve yourself:)

Okay if you are fasting for Religious reasons, you should cut back on the cardo you are doing. Like the others have said, you should add some resistance training in so as not to loose muscle. When you are allowed to eat, if you are in Ramadan, try to add foods that are going to give you the most benefit in all areas, carbs, protien, Healthy fats,
