How long should one wait in between sets. Do you do one exercise break then continue or do you work one muscle break and do a rotation. ?????

There is a post on the board saying to wait about 30 seconds between sets... another also saying to do one whole body part, starting with the larger muscles, then moving on to another muscle...

I've also heard to do a body part, stretch, go back to it or do the muscle and them move on to another, then back to the first... is either way correct?

It all depends what your goals are. That will determine how long to rest between sets.

Carivan is right. You will develope a "feel" for how much rest time you need. Alot depends on the intensity of the set, the load used, etc. as to how much "recovery" time you need. There are rules of thumb, and some constants. Supersetting for instance is no rest between the 2 sets. For normal wokrkouts, fat loss for example, you will do well to incorporate a short rest period, as your goal is a caloric deficit, and this can help be acheived by very short rest times. This can be 30 seconds to 2 minutes. On the other hand, if you are trying to gain, and are pushing heavy poundages, you may require more rest time to incorporate as many muscle fibers as possible for your next heavy set. So, get a "feel" for what you are trying to acccomplish, and go with it.
