How do I get enough proteins? I looked at the protein list and even the top protein has 36 and I'm supposed to have 197 per day. That would mean I would have to eat almost 6 servings of protein a day. Isn't that a bit much?
Also, I never meet all of the phosphorus and magnesium amounts I'm supposed to have. I think I have figured out that I can meet the phosphorus with beans, milk, cheese, yogurt ... but what about magnesium? I haven't met it 'cept one day since I started this.

The only way that I am able to meet my protein needs is through supplements. My favorite protein powder is Designer Whey. One scoop has 17.5g of protein, and it even tastes good! (although I have a huge sweet tooth so I usually put a packet of Splenda in whatever I have it with---that way it tastes like dessert!!) As for magnesium, it does have 100mg (approx. 25% of the recommended amount)can't say the same for phosphorus though, sorry. :)

Yeah, I take a lot of Whey Protine, like 4-6 Glasses a day and double the scoops. But, I also eat like Cottage Cheese (Fat Free) and Lots of Egg whites, I'm talkin like 7 whites and 1 yolk for breakfast and Dinner. I will make an omlet with chunked chicken in it too. That in itself is like 50 grams in one sitting. Plus, For lunch I'll eat A can or two of Tuna Fish (not every day though) with dill rellish. Try and enjoy the foods you eat. Making good choices will make it easier to eat higher protein foods. Don't think of it as a chore, but as a goal. Good luck.

I might have to check into this protein powder.
I don't know how in the world a person could eat all of this. I came really close to meeting my goal on calories, protein, carbs, and fats yesterday but I was so full all day I don't know how you could lose weight like this? LOL
Drew, I did the same for breakfast. Had 4 egg whites cooked in promise fat free butter, two pieces of toast with fat free butter and plum jelly, and a yoplait whips yogurt. Is that a pretty good breakfast? I guess this is how you're supposed to do this?
Oh my word, I tried fat free cottage cheese once and I couldn't stomach it! hehehehe ;)
