Hey! My name is Dustin May and I live in Detroit. I'm new to ft and am liking it a lot. I started about 2 weeks ago after taking about 7yrs off from working out. I'm already starting to see results and am excited!

I do have a quick question...
I've heard people talk about several different ways of working out including 1) decreasing reps/increasing weight, 2) decreasing reps/same weight, 3)increasing reps/decreasing weight. What are the pros and cons of each? I would consider myself a beginner and am working on building muscle mass.

Thanks!

I couldn't tell from your profile if you've elected to try one of ft's programs or not. You'll get mega opinions on which one of the rep schemes work best but they all have their advantages. Some of us use virtually all of them on cycles. FT's muscle mass program works (as many here will tell you) but your diet has to be conducive to growth to put it all together.

If you want to build muscle mass, u should use higher weight and do fewer reps. Lightweight and high reps i suppose would give u endurance but i heard it doenst really build muscle.
