Ah yes my second most favorite workout! Second only to legs of course. I hit my back pretty hard but here is a sample of one of my back routines:
Pullups 5 sets 10 reps weighted with 15lb dumbell (wide grip)
Deadlifts 4 sets 10 reps
Wide grip seated rows 4 sets 10 reps
Dumbell rows 3 sets 10 reps
Wide Grip pull downs 4 sets 10 reps
*sometime I throw in shrugs on back day sometimes I do them on shoulder day just to change it up. Good luck!

I have a question as well. If you are to do pullups say 12 and you can only do 4. What do you do for the rest of your reps. Do you switch to another exercise and do a few sets, or wait and try to do as many as you can? The reason I ask is-them things be hard but I don't want my limitations to end up shortchanging my back work.

If my goal for pull ups was 12 I would do as many as I could at one time until I reached my goal wether that be 12 or 1200 always make sure you get a good full range of motion

If I go to the bar to do chins and can only do 7-8 on the first set, 4-5 on the second, and so forth, should I switch to pulldowns. Man I want to do 3 sets of 15 chins so bad I could scream!
